On the factory floor, over 2000 companies now use Multi-DNC for reliable shop floor communications. As multi-tasking serial DNC software, Multi-DNC works in all Windows software from 95 to XP and enables a serial star topology on the factory floor.

With each machine tool getting its own serial port, Multi-DNC can simultaneously enable part program upload or downloads from any number of machine tools. Since Multi-DNC acts like a file server, CNC operators can use the Remote Call File feature to ask for their needed file from a distance.

Operators can also save their NC files automatically (just punch at any time), reset the port at a distance (simply punch out "RESET") or even get a remote directory (punch out "DIR" and get the list sent back as a file).

DNC Hardware

Memex supplies Comtrol Rocketport Hubs (PCI) and SI Ethernet Hubs. We also supply the Mx1100 with Memex's NetServer software that creates virtual serial ports.

Cable: Memex assembles serial and network cabling in standard lengths, and can supply custom cabling according to your needs. Cabling is also available by the foot and by the 1000' (305m) spool.
